So for those of you who don't know our house is under contract again. We are supposed to move February 26 if all goes well. I thought that we would find a ton of houses that we liked and would have to narrow them down, but this isn't happening. We did find one we were going to put an offer on, but it went under contract the day before. We LOVED it and are having a hard time getting over that house. We compare everything to that one. There is a house we really like in our dream area, but we are hesitant because it is the only lived in house on the street. It is kind of a weird street where the builder has stopped building and is all by itself next to older neighborhoods. It doesn't give me a community sense at all, but I love the house. All the other houses are completly trashed and need work or to change a lot of stuff to our style. Do I go with the new move in ready house in the perfect location on a weird street; or a house that we are just ok with? This house hunting is not fun anymore. Any advice would be great!!

I would keep looking. With this economy I don't think you will have any neighbors with the house you love for a LONG time. And I for sure wouldn't just pick a house you are only ok with, even if it means you have to move in with someone for a little while. That's is my advise.
You know my opinion... I vote the house by us. You will like it when you see it :) But really i agree with the comment above. You don't want to move somewhere that your not going to have neighbors for a long time. Don't worry you will find one. Take your time and it will happen! Good luck.
I say come move in by us...the houses are seriously amazingly priced and you would have a pool, park, water park and fishing lake all within walking distance for a $20.00 a month HOA! If not I say buy the one you love, the market is supposed to pick up by about June so you would only be without neighbors for a couple of months!
I thkni you should look in Bountiful... then we could hang out.
Personally, I'd go with the house you like on the weird street. Neighbors come and go, but if you just settle for a house, you'll may just end up wanting to move again. If you're just settling either way, keep looking. :) Houses go on the market every day. One is bound to pop up.
